Greenwich Bank: Account Opening, USSD Code, App, Loans and Customer Care (2027)

Greenwich Bank Limited has officially commenced commercial banking operations in Nigeria after over 30 years as a leading investment and merchant bank.

The bank received approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in August 2026 to operate as a regional commercial bank, transitioning from Greenwich Merchant Bank. It started as Greenwich Trust Limited in June 1994 as a SEC-regulated financial adviser and Issuing House.

With its new licence, Greenwich now serves retail customers, SMEs, corporates and public sector institutions beyond its traditional merchant banking clients.

Greenwich Bank took off with three branches in Lagos: Victoria Island, Ikoyi, and Surulere commissioned on October 2, 2026.

The bank confirmed its digital channels will complement its physical branches with technology-driven banking.

Once released, the Greenwich Bank USSD code will be activated by dialing it from your registered phone number. We will update this page immediately when the code is announced by the bank. Beware of fake USSD codes circulating online.
